DeepRadiology Wins International RSNA Medical Artificial Intelligence Challenge
SANTA MONICA, Calif., Nov. 8, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- DeepRadiology, a deep learning artificial intelligence medical education company is proud to announce its official winning entry in the international Radiological Society of North America (RSNA) Pneumonia Challenge. The RSNA is the largest scientific society of radiology professionals and their annual meeting is the largest radiology conference in the world. For the Pneumonia Challenge, almost 1500 teams and 346 finalists of the leading medical artificial intelligence experts in the world competed for cash prizes in the highly publicized competition. Cash prizes were given to the teams that were able to develop the most accurate system for the automatic detection of pneumonia on chest x-ray studies using artificial intelligence.
In order to win the prize, DeepRadiology used some of its world class team of deep learning scientists, software engineers, and medical expert physicians. In addition, DeepRadiology is also fortunate to have Professor Yann LeCun, widely regarded as the 'inventor of deep learning', as a key member of our team.
An improved version of our winning entry has already been incorporated in the DeepRadiology Educational Services Program which is now being used at hospitals and other healthcare facilities worldwide. The program already includes computed tomography[CT] and conventional X-ray services[CR]. MRI, ultrasound, mammography, and nuclear medicine will be included shortly.
