Friends of Sheba Medical Center, Tel HaShomer Hosts Celebration of Partnership with MD Anderson in Houston
HOUSTON, Nov. 13, 2018 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Friends of Sheba Medical Center, Tel HaShomer recently hosted a cocktail reception celebrating the partnership between Israel's Sheba Medical Center, the largest and most comprehensive hospital in the Middle East, and Houston's MD Anderson Cancer Center. The two prestigious medical organizations are partnering to better understand pancreatic cancer biology with the goal of improving patient treatment and care.
Generously hosted by Jonathan and Noa Enav, the reception at Hilton Houston Plaza/Medical Center featured Sheba's Dr. Talia Golan, founder and director of Sheba Medical Center's Pancreatic Cancer Center - the premier organization committed to early detection, treatment and increased quality of life for people suffering from this deadly disease.
The dozens of guests at the intimate, salon-style reception heard from Dr. Golan about the latest research and advancements in immunotherapies for pancreatic cancer and learned about the collaboration between Sheba and MD Anderson. Dr. Shubhra Ghosh, project manager of global programs at MD Anderson, represented the Texas institution.
