Ryan Named Top Five Best Places to Work in Pennsylvania for the Seventh Consecutive Year
PITTSBURGH, Dec. 6, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- For the seventh consecutive year, Ryan, a leading global tax services and software provider, has been named one of the Best Places to Work in Pennsylvania. The Firm was ranked fourth among large-sized companies, moving up five places from 2017.
This year's list represents 44 small, 27 medium, and 29 large-sized companies with employee-centric work environments benefiting the state's economy and workforce. Companies with more than 250 employees are placed in the large-sized companies category. This highly selective list, created in 2000, is one of the first statewide rankings in the country designed to honor, identify, and recognize the very best places of employment on a statewide level. The awards program is a public/private partnership between Team Pennsylvania Foundation, Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development, Pennsylvania State Council of the Society for Human Resource Management, and Central Penn Business Journal.

Companies from across the state entered the two-part process to determine the Best Places to Work in Pennsylvania. The first part of this process was evaluating each nominated company's workplace policies, practices, philosophies, systems, and demographics. This part of the process was worth approximately 25 percent of the total evaluation.
The second part of this determination consisted of an employee survey to measure their personal experience at work. This part of the process was worth approximately 75 percent of the total evaluation. The combined scores determined the top companies included in the final ranking. Best Companies Group managed the overall registration and survey process.
