Minelab Weighs In On Future of Kids' Tech at CES

LAS VEGAS, Jan. 9, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Michelle Meyers, global head of marketing for Minelab, will be a featured panelist at the CES Kids@Play FamilyTechSummit in Las Vegas on Thursday, Jan. 10, from 10:10 a.m. to 10:40 p.m. at the Venetian, Level 4, Lando 4302. The panel, entitled "VOICE AND AI: ARE THEY KIDS' NEW BFFs?," will explore the role of technology in play and education, now and in the future. Minelab will also be a CES exhibitor and can be found at Booth 44269.

Minelab's participation at CES coincides with the company's official release of GO-FIND 11, the world's lightest high-performance metal detector designed with detectorists of all ages, kids and young adults in mind. Weighing only 2.2-pounds, the ultra-lightweight handheld detector boasts state-of-the-art Minelab technology advanced enough for the serious gold prospector and treasure hunter with an easy-to-use design that appeals to detectorists of all skill levels, kids and beginners alike. GO-FIND 11 is competitively priced at only $99 USD.

"Treasure hunting is a unique outdoor hobby for kids in that it combines community, problem solving, adventure and an appreciation for the world we live in. Until now, it has been considered an expensive adult sport," says Michelle Meyers, global head of marketing for Minelab. "The introduction of the GO-FIND 11 makes this hobby accessible to virtually anyone, creating opportunities for adventure for the entire family, even children as young as seven."

This marks Minelab's first time as an exhibitor and panelist at CES. Meyers sees it as the first of many as Minelab seeks to help raise awareness of and appreciation for treasure hunting and outdoor sports popular in the U.S. and around the world.

"Our newest technology allows families to work together to search for treasure and historical clues that may reveal secrets of the past, while leveraging the same Minelab technology that is used by professional treasure hunters, outdoor enthusiasts, and military and police forces around the globe."

The GO-FIND 11 is available online and in retail stores across the United States including Academy Sports + Outdoors. To learn more about Minelab, visit minelab.com.
