The inaugural Satellite Technology of the Year Award will be presented on Wednesday, May 8 in Washington, DC.

Each nomination should recognize: a single technology (spacecraft, product, service, etc.); the company that produces the technology; and the person or persons responsible for leading the technology's development team. The technology must have been publicly released and operationally launched between January 1, 2018 and December 31, 2018. To summarize, the technology cannot be in development or conceptual stages.

Via Satellite will also feature a very special presentation of the award on Wednesday, May 8th, at SATELLITE 2019, held at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington, D.C. This celebration will be followed up with an in-depth review of the technology, which will be showcased in the June 2019 issue of Via Satellite.
