Motili Brings Sustainable HVAC to Student Housing - Westmar Lofts

Motili a real-estate technology company, today announced that it is working with Cardinal Group to complete an energy-efficiency upgrade project at Westmar Lofts, a modern student housing community located near Georgia Tech in Atlanta, Georgia. The project consists of a comprehensive retrofit of the facility’s entire Heating/Ventilation/Air Conditioning system, servicing close to 400 apartment homes. Cardinal Group is leading the industry with the installation of one of the most sustainable and energy-efficient HVAC systems available today.

HVAC is the number one consumer of energy in the commercial building space, and Westmar is installing a highly energy efficient 16 SEER, 3 SEER higher than required by the Georgia Energy Code. This project will also qualify for utility rebates from Georgia Power for installation of the state-of-the-art system.

Cardinal Group also installed new LED lighting throughout the entire property, and high efficiency water fixtures in the resident apartments, to unlock additional savings in electric and water.
