New SAE International Competition to Recognize Students and Young Professionals for Outstanding Technical Research

WARRENDALE, Pa., Jan. 21, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- A new competition from SAE international will spotlight talent from the next generation of mobility engineers.

The SAE Student/Young Professional Technical Paper Competition will honor outstanding work done by active SAE student members or active SAE young professional members (18-34 years old) - those at the forefront of the transformation of mobility engineering.

Winners of this exclusive competition - only the top two student and two young professional papers will be chosen - will receive an all-expenses-paid trip to present their papers at the inaugural SAE Innovations in Mobility event, which will be held Oct. 28-31, 2019, in Novi, Mich.

All accepted applicants for the competition will have their technical papers published by SAE International.

Technical papers will be accepted in the following automotive technology areas: 

    --  Advanced Manufacturing
    --  Advanced Materials
    --  Advanced Propulsion
    --  Automated/Autonomous and Connected Vehicles
    --  On-demand Mobility

Submissions will follow standard SAE event paper review and publishing practices; and all papers receiving approval will be published by SAE. Final technical paper submissions will be reviewed and judged by the Competition Review Panel.
