BitNicx Exchange Signs MoU with Efinity Social Enterprise to Provide Access of Clean Water to Rural Communities
KUCHING, Malaysia, Jan. 25, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The MoU was signed to declare their commitments to reach out to the rural communities of Sarawak to offer aids and basic necessities such as access to clean drinking water.
Present at the event were the founders of BitNicx Exchange, Johnny Bong and Douglas Bong, and the CEO of Efinity Social Enterprise, Teng Yu-Mein.
"I believe that clean water should come easy to all mankind, regardless of races, religion or political stand" says Teng Yu-Mein of Efinity. Teng is the inventor of the Efinity EX Water Cap, a valve system that allows the filtration and production of clean water. She developed the water cap back in 2016 to enable people living in areas with no piped water supply or electricity to have clean drinking water.

A short demonstration was first done by Teng on the application of the water cap. After the demonstration, Teng presented representatives from the local community with boxes of water cap with the help of Johnny and Douglas Bong.
The water cap has won several national and international awards and accolades, including Winner of the Anugerah Inovasi Malaysia from Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation (MOSTI) and Runner-up of the Swiss Innovation Challenge
