Thirty-Seven Reasons to Invest in a Rubb Building, a visit with Rubb's Oldest Sport Building

SANFORD, Fla., Feb. 5, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The Monty Hind Training Centre in Nottingham, England was constructed In July 1982 and is still going strong some 37 years later equipped with its original steel frame AND fabric cladding. The club is named after local hero Lt. Francis Montagu Hind who was killed in action at the Battle of the Somme in 1916. It is run by the voluntary organization Nottinghamshire Clubs for Young People. Back in 1982 Rubb worked on the original project which is a steel framed 15.5m(50ft) span x 45m(148 ft) long NV structure for Monty Hind Boys Club. The facility features 4m high vertical side walls and a 4m x 4m manual roller shutter door.

Rubb spoke to Lisa Barker who has been Senior Manager at the Monty Hind Training Centre since 2006. When asked how the building has performed over the past 37 years Lisa responded, "the building has been a great asset to the young people for use especially during the winter months...we use it every day. In the daytime a local college uses it for coaching their students on sports courses as it is very fit for purpose. In the evenings we have a youth club and during the winter months we have 10 different football teams train indoors. We also deliver Community Sports Leaders Awards in here and host boxing events for our national organization. We also use it sometimes for fundraisers and social events."
When asked about the benefits of a Rubb building Lisa was quick to say "it is long lasting, it's lasted already twice as long as expected! And the building is easy to maintain and only costs about $30 a week to heat".
The Monty Hind Centre also uses the building as a revenue source, renting out the sports hall numerous times per week.

In closing, Lisa went out to state that the building has been very cost effective, having already doubled its fabric life expectancy. "The Rubb has been a 9.5 out of 10...what a great benefit to the community"
