Open access articles on 3D-printed nose, denture maintenance needs, and more
CHICAGO, Feb. 7, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- In an effort to enhance evidence-based dentistry, the Journal of Prosthodontics has made its January issue available to all dental professionals at no cost. This issue features compelling cases and extensive research, such as the 3D printing of a completely prosthetic nose, a longitudinal assessment of an overdenture population of 272 patients over a 20-year period, and a nearly 15-year look at the associations between early implant failure and prosthodontic characteristics.
"This issue is full of the latest innovations in prosthodontics, including pertinent reviews, clinical research, basic scientific articles and clinical reports," said Radi Masri, DDS, MS, PhD, FACP, editor-in-chief of the Journal of Prosthodontics.
In addition to the entire January issue, over 60 online-only articles are also available as open access. To allow for the timely publication of current cutting-edge research, the Journal published these articles online so they can be read and utilized sooner than if they were in print.

The January issue of the Journal of Prosthodontics, and the online-only articles can be accessed for free through the end of the year.
The Journal of Prosthodontics, the official academic journal of the American College of Prosthodontists (ACP), publishes nine, 95-page issues a year with additional content available online.
