Christening of the Offshore Patrol Vessel NRP Setúbal

The ceremony of christening of the offshore patrol vessel NRP Setúbal  took place last February 6th, in West Sea Shipyards, Viana do Castelo. This is the fourth ship of the Viana do Castelo class, all of them built in Portugal. The Godmother of the vessel was Jessica Rachel Hallett.

In the ceremony were present The Minister of National Defense and the Chief of Staff of the Navy, as well as high-rank military and civil entities. EID, as the supplier of the ship's communications system, was also represented at the highest level.

“It was a great honour to attend this ceremony and a brand new Portuguese ship equipped with our state-of-the-art communications system. I would like to express to Commander Zambujo Madeira and his crew our best wishes”, states EID’s Managing Director, António Marcos Lopes.
