The panel, "Compliance Concerns for New Business Associates, including Technology Vendors," will take place on Tuesday, March 5 at 5:15 p.m. ET. Panelists include Anne Kimbol, Assistant General Counsel and Chief Privacy Officer for HITRUST; Chris Wargo, Managing Partner at Infolock; and Iliana Peters, partner at Polsinelli law firm and Former Acting Deputy Director of Health Information Privacy for the U.S. Office for Civil Rights.
This discussion will reveal key questions covered entities should be asking of BAs - and the questions they aren't asking. Panelists will discuss standards and certifications like HITRUST and NIST and what it means when vendors carry them, along with best practices for evaluating and selecting vendors.
