Nightingale College Launches New Nursing Program in Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS, March 4, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Nightingale College, a fully accredited distance learning nursing school, has partnered with local health care facilities to provide a BSN Degree program in Las Vegas, Nevada.

According to a recent CNN report, schools are rejecting nursing applicants despite an estimated need for one million additional nurses nationwide by 2022. The demand for nurses in Las Vegas is high, but due to limited space, qualified applicants to local nursing schools are often placed on waiting lists, sometimes for years, before beginning the nursing program at local campuses.

Nightingale College has no waiting list. The College recognizes the urgent need for nurses and has formed a unique partnership with local health care facilities to provide immediate access to nursing education. All qualified applicants have a guaranteed position in the next available program start. The first Las Vegas start is May 6, 2019. Nightingale College offers three starts per year.

The two nursing programs offered in Las Vegas are the local pre-licensure Bachelor's Degree Nursing Program (BDN), and online post-licensure RN-to-BSN Program. The 32-month BDN program follows a blended-distance learning model, allowing learners to complete all didactic courses online and attend experiential learning locally at partner facilities.

"Our partners provide learners with opportunities to participate in skills-based intervention," said Blake Halladay, Senior Manager of Partnerships. "Some partners have dedicated space within their facility for the hub, a fully equipped learning environment where Nightingale learners practice hands-on experiential learning."

The 12-month RN-to-BSN program is designed for working professionals. Nevada RNs seeking to advance their nursing career can earn their BSN 100 percent online through Nightingale College.

Enrollment is now open for both nursing programs in Las Vegas. The deadline to apply for the May 6, 2019 start is April 4, 2019. For more information, or to apply for admissions, please visit https://nightingale.edu/ or call 801-689-2160.
