GeoZilla Launches Apple Watch Integration to Keep Tabs on Children and Elderly

PALO ALTO, Calif., March 6, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- GeoZilla, the popular family safety app, announced today that its application now supports Apple Watch integration. GeoZilla took advantage of the GPS and LTE capabilities of the Watch Series 3 and 4 to offer the full functionality of the mobile app to keep families on the radar at all times. GeoZilla sees the most value in this feature for keeping children and the elderly safe.

"We believe that seamless cross-device communication offers accurate and meaningful information about our loved ones, information we can use instantly," said Artem Kozel, CEO, GeoZilla. "My son is too young for a phone, so I bought him an Apple Watch. When my son is late from school, I can find him through GeoZilla on his Apple Watch and make sure he's safe."

On the Apple Watch, GeoZilla displays the same notifications as on an iPhone. On top of that, with Apple Watch's LTE capabilities the user is no longer required to use their phone to continue to share their location.

To add an Apple Watch to a family circle within GeoZilla, the user downloads the app on their iPhone and the app is also automatically uploaded to their Apple Watch. On their phone, they need to log in and go to My Devices, then open the app on an Apple Watch and tap "CONNECT." The app will start sending location updates immediately.

GeoZilla also offers the option to set up a 'Dependent User' account on an Apple Watch to monitor a family member's location without sharing their own location updates.
