"Information Matrix", with Laurence Fishburne, to Introduce a New Segment on Awareness of Multiple Sclerosis

FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla., March 8, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- A new episode of "Information Matrix," hosted by successful actor Laurence Fishburne, is set to raise awareness on Multiple Sclerosis.

Multiple Sclerosis (MS) is a disease that affects the central nervous system and can disrupt the flow of information between the brain and the body. This disease can often be disabling, and its cause is still unknown. Some scientists believe the disease can be triggered by unidentified environmental factors in a person who may be genetically predisposed to respond. A team of experts and those who support individuals and groups living with MS will highlight the conversation about the condition.

The specific symptoms and the severity of any one person who is suffering from MS can be hard to predict. Some of the more common symptoms include fatigue, weakness, walking difficulties, spasticity, numbness or tingling, weakness, and vision problems. As the disease progresses, other secondary symptoms can develop. Depression is also common for those who are suffering from the disease. Many people that are diagnosed with the disease are between the ages of 20 and 50, and twice as many woman as men are diagnosed with the disease. The disease won't go away and has to be managed over time. Managing symptoms can be an ongoing process, and those who suffer will need to meet with a healthcare team to manage symptoms and maintain a high quality of life.

The new program will share these facts and more regarding MS, and the efforts to both manage and combat the disease.

"Information Matrix" contains high quality content that is meant to showcase important stories from around the world. The program has earned a number of awards and accolades globally and nationally.
