Diners Club® Sponsors Ski World Cup Bansko

STAMFORD, Conn., March 8, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- The World Ski Cup took place last weekend in Bansko, Bulgaria. Bansko is home to one of the finest ski resorts in Bulgaria and has historically been a member of the FIS World Cup Hosts. This year's men's races included Alpine Combined, Super G and Giant Slalom.

Diners Club International was part of these exciting competitions with 117 contestants from 22 nations, 150 journalists and approximately 20,000 spectators (over 500 of them official guests).

Within the resort, skiers and spectators were handed passive wearable bracelets that were used as a means of payment on the slopes and ski area. These contactless bracelets contain prepaid, non-reloadable gift cards and are open-loop, which enables them to work anywhere in the world where Diners Club International contactless is accepted.

Diners Club® sponsored a Ski World Cup in Bansko in 2012 and 2015.
