Absolut Elyx Raises Awareness of Global Water Crisis in Support of Water For People
DENVER, March 20, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- On World Water Day, March 22, 2019, Absolut Elyx launches its annual Raise It Forward social media movement, inviting people around the world to take action to combat the global water crisis. By posting a photo of a raised glass from March 22 through Earth Day, April 22 with the hashtag #RaiseItForward and mentioning @WaterForPeople and @AbsolutElyx, Absolut Elyx will contribute one week of safe water to an individual in need in the communities where Water For People works. When the movement reaches 10,000 posts, the donation amount will increase to one month of safe water for every #RaiseItForward post
Absolut Elyx is committed to helping solve the global water crisis. 2.1 billion people lack access to safe water, 4.5 billion lack access to adequate toilets, and it is not uncommon for women to walk four hours a day to fetch water from contaminated sources. Elyx is on a five-year mission to reach 100,000 people with safe drinking water through its support of Water For People's work. Since partnering with Water For People in 2015, Elyx has impacted 40,000 people, who now have safe water for generations to come.
