Cambridge Semantics Adds OpenCypher to AnzoGraph- Cambridge Semantics is First Vendor to Offer both RDF/SPARQL and OpenCypher Graph Data Access
BOSTON, March 25, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Cambridge Semantics, the leading provider of modern data discovery and integration software for enterprise data fabrics, today announced the addition of OpenCypher to support AnzoGraph, the industry-leading OLAP (online analytical processing) graph database at the core of the Anzo platform. Data accessibility and analytics demand choices of data access, and Cambridge Semantics is the first vendor to offer both of the industry query languages for semantic graph and property graph data access.
As the graph database has emerged, the market has seen a historical split between proprietary single-vendor solutions or the RDF/SPARQL standard of the W3C. With this announcement, Cambridge Semantics now accomodates both the growing OpenCypher community in addition to the RDF/SPARQL standard. This announcement augments AnzoGraph's capability to use the SPARQL language to perform property graph analytics on very large graphs of enterprise data. Now, users and developers will be able to leverage either RDF/SPARQL standards or OpenCypher standard language for graph analytics, graph algorithms and property graph analytics.

AnzoGraph will support customers that have developed skill sets in OpenCypher. Many customers have chosen to use Cypher/OpenCypher for their transactional (OLTP) graph use cases. They also wish to use the same query language on their analytic (OLAP) graph use case for large-scale, high-performance analysis including discovery, aggregation, decision-support and the basis of machine learning systems.
