Confluence Capital Group Sponsors Recently Released 2019 Pepperdine Private Capital Markets Report

The 2019 Pepperdine Private Capital Markets Report, released March 18th, indicated 88 percent of business owners report having the opportunity to grow, yet only 52 percent report having the necessary financial resources to successfully execute growth strategies. Bank loans emerged as the most readily available source of capital available to small businesses, with business owners typically contacting multiple financial institutions to successfully raise capital.

“In anticipation of challenging business conditions for continued growth, both with increasing demand and costs for capital, lower middle market growth (LMMG) companies need to understand additional capital resources that may be available,” said Stewart Williams, Managing Director at Confluence Capital Group (Gold Level sponsor of the report). “The report provides insights into the capital costs and structures that may be required to successfully execute on growth strategies. By considering growth initiatives relative to private capital markets and developing comprehensive capital formation strategies, companies are better equipped to obtain the necessary resources that may go beyond bank financing alone.”

The privately-held business survey results were generated from 560 participants, distributed across the United States. Businesses involved in professional, scientific or technical services accounted for 14% of respondents, followed by business services (10%), manufacturing (9%) and information technology or services (9%).
