Former Executive Editor-in-Chief of Hong Kong Economic Herald Joins Singularity Financial as Editor-In-Chief

HONG KONG, April 1, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- Singularity Financial Limited ("SFL"), Hong Kong's leading technology information portal, announced today that Professor Margaret Yanchun Yang, former Executive Editor-in-Chief of Hong Kong Economic Herald, joined the company as Editor-In-Chief.

Professor Yang has over 25 years of experience in IT, financial and media industry in North America and Asia. She had worked in higher education and multinational technology firm as tenure associate professor and in charge of Innovation Services respectively, authored IBM White Papers on ERP and financial risk management. While based in the United Nations in New York, she had interviewed Nobel Laureate economists and Global Fortune 100 flagship CEOs on technology advancement for best practices and case studies. She was invited as speaker of the 2010 San Diego WTC Annual Conference on Global Economic Outlook, the quadrennial 2016 Global Forum for Media Development, and the 2017 ICTPI, the International Conference on Technology Policy & Innovation. Professor Yang co-founded a Tech start-up company in 2018, which owns six national and overseas blockchain technology related patents filed.

Professor Yang possesses the following domain expertise: defining perspectives of cross discipline research bridging humanities and technologies in AI, Blockchain, Cloud Computing and Big Data; Collaborating with tech leading solutions of Microsoft and IBM and reaching global & local top universities for nurturing technology best practices augmenting humanities; generating and disseminating content on technology advancement and industry solutions for knowledge management and public awareness.

Professor Yang was invited as Training Speaker by the Chamber of Hong Kong Listed Companies for CPT in-house seminar designed for senior executives of listed companies on Blockchain technology. She is also an active speaker and moderator for China Daily Asia Leadership Forum, and panel discussion at Asia Bankers Club on subjects of blockchain based STO, integration of Blockchain technology with AI, Cloud Computing and Big Data, etc.

Professor Yang holds Master of Economics specialized in International Finance from Fudan University in Shanghai, China.
