A+ Technology & Security Solutions Named Finalist in the 2019 SAMMY Awards
BAY SHORE, N.Y., April 17, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- A+ Technology & Security Solutions, Inc., a pioneer in school security technology integration, was named a finalist in the 2019 SAMMY Awards at ISC West in Las Vegas for Integrated Installation of the Year. The company was recognized for a fully integrated security and lock down system for a New York school district completed this year.
Following the Parkland tragedy, A+ Technology & Security took a different approach to the project. An outside school security firm, True Security Design, was hired to incorporate their K-12 methodology for school safety and lock downs. This information was used to design and build a fully integrated security system where an emergency lock down can be triggered by any school staff member, in any of the multiple school buildings, via methods including panic buttons, phone calls, pages, emergency pull downs and web applications.
The fully integrated solutions included Milestone VMS, AXIS IP security cameras, Gallagher door access, hard wired and wireless panic buttons, pull stations, blue strobe lights, PA system, VOIP phone system, video intercom, lock down and door ajar notification, mass notification application integration and 911/E911 integration. All systems are integrated together and trigger multiple communication responses for students, staff, community and emergency personnel.
Nearly 160 entries were received for the 12 categories; winners were announced on April 9, 2019, just before ISC West, at the Venetian Resort Hotel Casino. This was the 24th Annual SAMMY Awards celebrating security dealers and systems integrators for their marketing, business and installation excellence.
