Walnut Creek Chiropractor Earns Diplomate Credentials in Chiropractic Cranio-Cervical Junction Procedures

WALNUT CREEK, Calif., April 20, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Dr. Noah Kaplan has recently earned a designation that qualifies him as a specialist in the health care field of the Cranio-Cervical Junction (head/neck). He is now one of about 40 doctors throughout the world, and only one in Northern California, to earn the credentials of Diplomate of Chiropractic Cranio-Cervical Junction Procedures (D.C.C.J.P.). The DCCJP program is offered by the International Chiropractic Association and is only available to practicing Upper Cervical Chiropractors. The program consists of 2.5 years and over 300 hours of education modules on a variety of topics specific to the Cranio-Cervical Junction, including: neurology, anatomy, biomechanics, radiology, research, and advanced imaging. It also includes knowledge of the major 'Upper Cervical' Chiropractic procedural techniques, including Blair, NUCCA, Orthospinology, Advanced Orthogonal, Grostic, EPIC, and Knee Chest.

Dr. Kaplan is the owner and clinic director of Advance Upper Cervical Chiropractic in Walnut Creek, CA and works alongside Dr. Daniel McClelland. He sees patients from Walnut Creek and surrounding East Bay areas of Concord, Lafayette, Alamo, Danville, Martinez, Orinda, Moraga, San Ramon and Benicia. The most common conditions treated in the clinic are Headaches/Migraines, Neck Pain, Whiplash trauma from car accident, Concussion, TMJD, Vertigo, Tinnitus, Trigeminal Neuralgia, Occipital Neuralgia, Fibromyalgia, and Chiari Malformation. His Diplomate education will help him interpret complex MRI and X-RAY imaging of the head/neck and help treat patients in a unique and specialized way, incorporating the most state-of-the-art procedures.

At Advance Upper Cervical Chiropractic, Dr. Kaplan utilizes Cone Beam CT imaging in their office, which provides panoramic 3-Dimensional views of the upper neck to analyze misalignments and other conditions. He then provides very gentle and precise corrections to the C1 (Atlas) or C2 (Axis) vertebra in order to bring the head/neck alignment back into balance. This procedure is NOT a traditional chiropractic adjustment, as there is no twisting, torqueing, popping, or cracking. Other technology and outcome assessments are used on each visit to monitor progress and measure the success of care.

Dr. Kaplan graduated from Life Chiropractic College West in 2011 and has been practicing in Walnut Creek at Advance Upper Cervical Chiropractic since 2012. He lives in Walnut Creek with his wife and two young children.
