Vizion Health, LLC Renames Panola Medical Center Psychiatric Hospital in Batesville, Mississippi

BATESVILLE, Miss., May 10, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- On March 7, 2019, Vizion Health's CEO, Mark Schneider announced that Progressive Medical Management acquired Panola Medical Center in Batesville, MS. Panola is a 112-bed acute care facility with two campuses; one campus a 55-bed medical hospital and the second campus a 57-bed acute care psychiatric hospital. Vizion Health announced today that it has officially renamed the psychiatric hospital Crossroads.

Crossroads' Executive Director Renee Cole reported, "The main hospital has had many names over the years from Tri Lakes, Community Health Systems, Merritt and most recently Panola Medical Center." Ms. Cole added that, "The psychiatric hospital has always been referred to as the "west campus."

Mark Schneider added, "The change to Crossroads signals a new business strategy that will distinguish the hospital as a discrete entity while maintaining the advantages of it's close connection with Panola Medical Center. The name Crossroads recognizes the unique cultural connections with northeastern Mississippi."

Vizion's portfolio also includes Fort Behavioral Health, a 133-bed newly renovated, state-of-the-art behavioral health facility in Fort Worth, Texas which treats both substance abuse and children with autism. Fort Behavioral opened on March 4, 2019.
