2Keys and Crypto4A announce launch of Industry First "Root of QAOS(TM)" Entropy Managed Service
TORONTO, OTTAWA and VANCOUVER, May 15, 2019 /CNW/ - 2Keys Corporation and Crypto4A Technologies Inc. today announced the launch of a unique Canadian Cybersecurity solution that will provide enterprise, cloud providers, mobile application and IoT developers with managed sources of high quality, trusted, and certified entropy. The Root of QAOS(TM) is an industry-first Entropy Appliance based on National Institute for Standards in Technology (NIST) standards and delivered as a managed service. It will also be initially offered to select industry participants as a no-cost service.
Strong cryptographic keys are the backbone of today's digital world, and entropy is an essential and fundamental ingredient for all cryptographic key generation processes.
Crypto4A's Root of QAOS(TM) Entropy Appliance is based on NIST's Entropy-as-a-Service (EaaS) reference architecture and provides trusted, monitored and high-quality (multiple and quantum based sources of) entropy to any number of internal and external systems and devices. The Root of QAOS(TM) is deployable as an appliance or as a managed service to deliver certified and trusted entropy required for data centers, cloud providers, enterprise computing platforms, IoT and/or embedded devices such as mobile applications.
Bruno Couillard, CEO and Co-Founder of Crypto4A states, "Today's world of embedded software systems and devices, IoT devices, and cloud-based virtual machines running over complex and dynamic software-defined networks generate low quality and low quantities of entropy. These systems cannot be trusted to generate sufficient high-quality entropy internally." The Root of QAOS(TM) is the first solution based on the advanced capabilities provided by Crypto4A's next generation cyber security platform, designed to be both quantum safe and crypto adaptable to face the security challenges quantum computing will bring.
2Keys is an ISO certified (27001, 27017, and 27108) Canadian company providing Digital Identity and Cyber Security Managed and Professional Services to the Canadian Public and Private Sectors. 2Keys will manage the implementation, operations, and monitoring of the Root of QAOS(TM) solution as an EaaS.
