Who: The five principal leaders of the Joint Chiefs of Global Tax Enforcement (J5) including Will Day, Deputy Commissioner, Australian Taxation Office; Stephane Bonin, Director General, Canada Revenue Agency (CRA); Hans van der Vlist, General Director, Dutch Fiscal Intelligence and Investigation Service (FIOD); Simon York, Director, Her Majesty's Revenue & Customs (HMRC) Fraud Investigation Service; and Don Fort, Chief, Internal Revenue Service Criminal Investigation (IRS-CI).

What: J5 Chiefs to conduct media availability to announce first year results from J5 and highlight cyber training hosted by IRS-CI at the World Bank in Washington, DC.

Where: World Bank "C building" Annex located at 1225 Connecticut Ave, N.W., Washington, DC 20036

When: Wednesday, June 5, 2019. Cyber Training begins at 8am. J5 Chiefs to address cyber training attendees at that time. Media are invited for this portion as well. Media availability with J5 Chiefs to take place at 9:45. Following availability, media are welcome to sit in on rest of morning of cyber training but must leave at the lunch break. Arrive NLT 7:45 AM to get through security by 8AM start. (If you are only interested in the 9:45 availability, mention that in RSVP and we will try to accommodate a second arrival wave)

Why: The J5 is marking its first anniversary as an operational, international organization. Each country has accomplishments to share and can make statements about the current state of international tax evasion. At the same time, the U.S. is hosting cyber training for 80 individuals from 50 countries at the World Bank--cyber and virtual currency are one of the priority areas for the J5. The J5 Chiefs will address this group and then conduct a media availability. Interested media may also attend this first session of cyber training in addition to the J5 media event.

You are invited to attend in person, however a call-in line will be established at 9:45 AM ET for those who cannot make the event in person.
