Dr. Nguyen is one of only a few physicians in the nation who is triple board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology, reproductive endocrinology and infertility, and medical genetics. She earned her medical degree from Jefferson Medical College and her master's in public health from John Hopkins University. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Christiana Care Hospital in Delaware and her subspecialty training in medical genetics at the National Institutes of Health.
