Trident University Professor and Ph.D. Graduate to Present at Information Technology Conference

CYPRESS, Calif., June 13, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Trident University International (Trident) faculty member and 2017 Ph.D. graduate Dr. Timothy Pritchard has published the paper, "Government employees and their use of Digital Government," which will be presented at the Americas Conference of Information Systems (AMCIS) 2019 in Cancun, Mexico.

Paper co-authors include Dr. Indira Guzman, Doctoral Studies Director, Glenn R. Jones College of Business, Trident faculty member Dr. Santos Galvez, and Dr. Xufei (Nancy) Deng of CSU Dominguez Hills. All three were members of Dr. Pritchard's dissertation committee, with Dr. Galvez serving as the Chair.

The goal of this research was to understand what contributes to the success of e-government websites in the United States, through an empirical analysis that surveyed government employees about their use of these websites.

According to the abstract, the authors concluded that, "trusting beliefs and the quality variables of the Information Systems Success model do play an integral role in citizens' intention to continue using e-government websites." The study's findings could play an important role in the future design and implementation of these websites.

AMCIS is an annual conference for information systems and information technology academics and professionals sponsored by the Association for Information Systems. AMCIS is widely considered to be one of the most prestigious conferences for IS/IT in the Western Hemisphere. This year's conference runs from August 15th-17th.

Dr. Pritchard has been an Adjunct Professor of Information Systems at Trident since 2017. He is a military veteran and a graduate of Trident's online Ph.D. in Business Administration program.
