T/CCI Manufacturing hires Erik Huyghe, Detroit-Based Specialist, to Expand T/CCI's Existing Product Portfolio and Lead Variable and Electric Compressor Efforts

DETROIT, June 21, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- T/CCI Manufacturing, a world leader in compressor technology including reciprocating, swash plate, wobble plate, and variable compressor designs, has named Erik Huyghe the new Director of Advanced Engineering. Erik is an established industry expert in the innovation, design and development of variable and electric compressors as well as refrigerant system integration. In addition, he has been involved in global efforts to reduce emissions through new technologies, working with industry leadership and government.

Erik spent the last five years of his career with General Motors in Detroit, MI and will remain in the Detroit area to cultivate, manage and service T/CCI's heavy duty and growing light duty commercial customer base.

"Erik's knowledge and experience will be instrumental in our current and future efforts to augment T/CCI's product portfolio and aggressively expand our electric and variable compressors globally, meeting a fast growing industry demand," T/CCI President Richard Demirjian said. "He will work closely with our US, China, Europe and India engineering teams to develop products around our customers long term plans. We're very excited to have him join our team."

Prior to joining T/CCI, Erik served as a technical expert for compressors, traditional air conditioning systems and heat pumps, for ICE and battery electric vehicles for General Motors. He led efforts to develop specifications and set validation requirements for compressors. Erik also worked with suppliers on development and integration of new technologies into various applications.
