Wichita Falls ISD Selects RaaWee K12 Truancy & Dropout Prevention System to Support Focused Efforts Against Chronic Absenteeism and Truancy

RICHARDSON, Texas, July 17, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- RaaWee K12, an enterprise software company focused on the needs of K12 Education, today announces RaaWee K12 Truancy & Dropout Prevention System (TDPS) was named by Wichita Falls Independent School District in Wichita Falls, TX as their targeted solution for improving student attendance, increasing ADA funding, and combating chronic absenteeism.

The goals of Wichita Falls ISD Attendance and At Risk Services are quite simply to help students stay in school and graduate. Administrative goals also include: increasing the district attendance rate from the now 95.5% to 97% within 2 years, reversing the current truancy trend, and improving the overall accuracy of attendance reporting. Now, with the RaaWee K12 Truancy and Dropout Prevention System, attendance will be tracked more efficiently and in a more timely manner allowing all stakeholders to view and use the data from each of their schools to serve their students in the best possible manner.

Saleem Qazi, CEO of RaaWee K12, notes, "RaaWee is pleased to provide TDPS as the platform Wichita Falls Independent School District has chosen to support their important attendance improvement goals. It provides them with a suite of powerful tools and resources to meet their many student attendance goals. We are eager to be a part of the many successes to come for these at risk students."

"My main goal is to identify the issues our students and schools are having that create chronic absenteeism and truancy, then assist them in next steps. Previously, we have used a base level program that creates our court paperwork from a template but didn't give us much data to use other than court data. We didn't have a way of tracking chronic absenteeism other than running individual reports and doing calculations by hand. I am looking forward to having this program that gives me multiple tools to analyze our numbers, trends, and goals," states Verna Honeycutt, Attendance Coordinator for Wichita Falls Independent School District.
