PRmediaNow Wins 2019 PRSA Radiance Awards for News Release Writing, Media Relations Tactics

TAMPA, Fla., Aug. 1, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- PRmediaNow has won two awards from the Public Relations Society of America's (PRSA) Sunshine District for news release writing and media relations tactics for a more economical, safe and eco-friendly alternative to disposable diapers that was introduced on crowdfunding website Kickstarter in 2018.

PRmediaNow, which specializes in crowdfunding PR to help companies around the world launch innovative products, received a 2019 Radiance Award for Best News Release Writing for news releases promoting the product, Peejamas - a new potty-training aid created by Utah entrepreneur and parent Craig Hammond.

In addition, PRmediaNow received a 2019 Radiance Award of Commendation for Media Relations Tactics for the Peejamas Campaign - which helped the product become the most-funded kids clothing campaign in Kickstarter history.

After a successful campaign on Kickstarter that received $227,000 from backers, crowdfunding for the new potty-training solution continued on Indiegogo InDemand - raising more than $350,000.

"We want to thank all the parents out there who were searching for a new and better solution to potty-training and responded so resoundingly to our news releases and media and blog stories about Peejamas," said PRmediaNow Principal Colin Trethewey. "It's always a pleasure to help a client launch a successful campaign, especially one that benefits so many parents, their children and the environment, as well."

Made with highly absorbent, re-washable materials, Peejamas capture and contain urine and can be washed more than 300 times before they lose their absorbency. In addition to speeding the potty-training process, Peejamas are designed to keep unnecessary chemicals, like fire-retardant substances, from touching toddlers' skin, are 66 percent cheaper on a per usage basis compared to disposable diapers - resulting in less disposable diapers in landfills.

Trethewey accepted the awards during the 2019 PRSA Sunshine District Conference held in Tampa. Award submissions were judged by an independent panel of senior PR practitioners from the PRSA.

"We're excited to once again be honored by PRSA and receive this recognition for our work from fellow PR professionals," he said.

Radiance Awards recognize outstanding strategic public relations by Florida based agencies and organizations, as well as individual practitioners who have shown great commitment to the profession.
