C Spire honored for its support of Friends of Mississippi State Hospital
RIDGELAND, Miss., Aug. 30, 2019 /PRNewswire/ -- C Spire, a diversified telecommunications and technology services company, has received the 2019 Jerald D. Ball "Together We Make a Difference" community service award for its support of the non-profit arm of Mississippi State Hospital.
Hospital executives and community volunteers honored C Spire Wednesday afternoon during the Friends of Mississippi State Hospital annual meeting for its involvement and support of hospital programs that benefit employees, patients and nursing home residents at the Rankin County mental health facility.

The award is named after the late Jerald Ball, who worked at the hospital for many years until his retirement in 2005. He helped create programs that attract hundreds of volunteers from churches, businesses and local groups who share their time and talents with mentally ill patients, substance abuse cases and Jaquith Nursing Home residents.
