New Frontier Data Expands Scientific Reporting with Appointment of Prominent Cannabis Scientist, Reggie Gaudino, as Chief Science Advisor

New Frontier Data, the global authority in data, analytics and business intelligence for the cannabis industry, announced today the appointment of Dr. Reggie Gaudino as chief science advisor. In his new role, Dr. Gaudino will advise, guide and participate in internal and external discussions pertinent to the science and medicine of cannabis, strengthening New Frontier Data’s scientific perspective and thought leadership in what is becoming a global medicinal cannabis market.

“Dr. Gaudino is one of the most prominent science-based thought leaders in the cannabis industry,” said New Frontier Data Founder and CEO Giadha Aguirre de Carcer. “He is an internationally recognized scientific voice in cannabis, and his expertise will raise the already-high bar of New Frontier Data’s rigorous research and analytics offerings.”

Dr. Gaudino will continue his scientific research and development efforts, working to better understand and apply cannabis for medical use. Previously, Dr. Gaudino played a vital role in building out the cannabis genetics and research division at Steep Hill, Inc., a cannabis and science technology company. His leadership led to the development of the first commercially offered cannabis DNA-based sex test, and subsequently the first commercially offered cannabis DNA-based CBD test, GenKit™.

Some of Dr. Gaudino’s early achievements include serving as a patent agent with Sequenom to bring valuable insights particularly in cannabis genetics to the industry. Before then, he founded and served as president of Gaudino & Associates, providing intellectual property contract services to clients.

“Elevating the discussion on the need for collection protocols, source vetting, and unbiased and accurate analytics to best understand and predict cannabis markets fluctuations, New Frontier Data has led the way to improved cannabis data reporting standards. I’m thrilled to lend my expertise as they continue to advance market knowledge of this now global industry,” said Dr. Gaudino. “As worldwide interest in cannabis expands, the need for scientific research and understanding follows suit.”
