Carl Moore Joins SierraConstellation Partners as Managing Director in Dallas

SierraConstellation Partners (SCP), a national interim management and advisory firm to middle-market companies in transition, announced today that Carl Moore has joined the firm as a Managing Director. Moore will be based in Dallas, where he will work closely with SCP’s established Houston office to grow the firm’s presence in the Southwest Region.

Moore has over twenty years of experience in distressed investing, private equity portfolio management, corporate turnarounds, M&A, and strategic planning. Before joining SCP, Moore was a Managing Director at Highland Capital Management in Dallas, serving as Co-Head of Highland’s Private Equity Group. Moore spent over 15 years at the firm, where he served on the investment committee of the group’s healthcare-focused $150M private equity fund and co-managed a restructuring team of legal and investment professionals dedicated to the firm’s $25B leveraged loan and high-yield bond portfolio during the financial crisis.

Prior to his time at Highland Capital, Moore was an associate at Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison working on financing and M&A transactions for emerging growth technology companies. Earlier in his career, Moore worked as an associate at Looper, Reed & McGraw and as a CPA in the tax division of Coopers & Lybrand.

A lifelong Texan, Moore holds a BA in the Plan II Honors Program and a BBA in Finance from the University of Texas at Austin, and a J.D. from the University of Houston Law Center.
