Dr. Mitchell Unveils New Three-Step Verification Process to Prove Mineral Chelation

At this year’s show, Scientist Dr. Kylie Mitchell returns with a presentation titled Understanding Chelated Minerals – Do You Know What You Are Buying?” which examines the functional advantages of chelated minerals over non-chelated minerals and why buying from a trusted source is important to verify the quality of minerals. Dr. Mitchell will explain why the industry’s current mineral testing protocols are insufficient and will share the three-step verification process that Innophos has implemented to validate chelation.

“Not all minerals are created equal. Chelated minerals deliver several important advantages including enhanced solubility, increased bioavailability and greater stability,” said Dr. Mitchell. “The lack of effective testing protocols has resulted in minerals on the market being misrepresented as chelated, when they are in fact not. We are committed to addressing this problem by raising the bar on transparency.”

Dr. Mitchell’s presentation is scheduled for Thursday, October 17 from 11:30 a.m. – 11:50 a.m. in the Supplier Presentation Theater located in booth #1467 on the Expo floor.

Nylen Simmons to Present How Disciplined Authentication Processes Can Address Adulteration Concerns

Scientist Nylen Simmons will present a case study: “A Closer Look at Cranberry – Your Source Matters.” She will examine how Cranberry PACs (Procyanidins) are being increasingly recognized for their powerful antioxidant properties and their benefits in urinary tract health. Simmons will provide examples of common adulterants found in Cranberry PACs and will demonstrate how working with a trusted partner can minimize risk of adulterants.

“Botanical adulteration remains a significant industry concern, but one that we believe can be addressed by increasing transparency and comprehensive testing around source materials,” said Simmons.

Simmons’ presentation is scheduled for Thursday, October 17 from 12 p.m. – 12:20 p.m. in the Supplier Presentation Theater located in booth #1467 on the Expo floor.

Dr. Mitchell and Ms. Simmons are available for press opportunities during the expo. To schedule an interview, please reach out to the media contact listed below.
