HDI makes key hires within US Engineering Lines & Construction Casualty Practices

Carisa Winters has been appointed Senior Engineering Lines Underwriter. She is responsible in leading the US engineering lines two largest segments, civil engineering completed risks (CECR) and special risks (equipment breakdown and renewable energy), which account for over half of the lines gross written premium (GWP).* In her close to two decades of industry experience, Winters has held various underwriting and management positions in the property practices of Windward Specialty, RSUI Group and DirectFac Inc.

Brad Wilkinson joins HDI as an Engineering Lines Property Underwriter and will work alongside Winters in developing and executing the strategy for the engineering lines division in the US as well as driving underwriting excellence. He joins HDI from CNA Financial, where he was most recently a commercial middle market and equipment breakdown underwriting specialist.

Alexander LaBelle has been appointed as Senior Construction Liability Underwriter. In this role, LaBelle will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic and operational tactics to drive growth and profitability for the US construction liability portfolio. He joins HDI from Ironshore Insurance Services, where he was most recently a senior excess and surplus liability underwriter within their wholesale specialty casualty practice.
