FIT:MATCH revolutionizes apparel retail with AI-powered shopping match platform; Announces collaboration with Brookfield Properties

HOUSTON, Nov. 14, 2019 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Launching tomorrow, FIT:MATCH combines the latest data science and 3D measurement technology to create a highly integrated online/offline apparel shopping match platform that delivers a transformative retail experience for shoppers and brands. The proprietary AI-powered technology called Fitch, matches shoppers with apparel products that fit them based on accurate biometric data and preferences, and hides the ones that don't. The first-of-its-kind technology integration has been engineered to increase shopper relevance and therefore sales conversion, as well as decrease returns.

The team behind FIT:MATCH has a singular mission - to eradicate "fit risk" and therefore significantly improve apparel shopper satisfaction and apparel retail economics. There are so many areas of uncertainty along the apparel shopping journey related to fit on both the buyer and seller sides, with so much time and money wasted. FIT:MATCH is focused on creating value by leveraging technology to eliminate the fit-related pain points that have plagued the industry.

"Only a minor subset of items in the universe of ready-to-wear apparel will fit each individual perfectly, yet shoppers are presented with thousands of products on a brand's website or in-store. In order to find the right products, shoppers bear the burden: they are required to wade through an extensive assortment, read complicated sizing charts or spend time trying on clothes. This results in a very hit or miss experience. In the modern age of AI we knew there was a better way, so we decided to invent it," shared Haniff Brown, Co-Founder and CEO of FIT:MATCH.

Brown describes a long list of what he calls "elements of value" associated with the innovative technology he and his team are bringing to market. For shoppers it's about increasing satisfaction, saving time, eliminating the need to try-on product, and offering a more personalized, rewarding and enjoyable shopping experience overall. For brands and retailers, it's about driving higher conversion and lowering returns, while providing valuable customer data that enables future targeting based on fit, product design relevance and inventory planning precision.

The FIT:MATCH Studio experience at Baybrook will see shoppers answering a few brief questions about their style and fit preferences upon entry. They will then be introduced to Fitch (the 3D measurement tool), which will in a matter of seconds, collect 150 body measurements. The final step in the experience will present the shopper with a personalized assortment that delivers their best fit matches, based on their accurate biometric and fit profile data. They can browse and buy these items on the digital touch screens in the studio, as well as at home or on their phones -- at shopfitmatch.com.

Joining the inaugural FIT:MATCH studio experience will be four great direct to consumer brands who will not only benefit from this transformative technology, but also have access to a new experiential channel of distribution.

High performance fashion activewear company, Urban Savage, will join the FIT:MATCH studio experience as the featured brand partner at launch. Michelle Kluz, founder of Urban Savage, the former CEO of Pure Barre, and a competitive distance runner, launched her athleisure brand as a tribute to fashion, luxury, and feminine power. The line draws inspiration from the architecture, design, and athletic spirit of the cities where the brand teams are based and compete: Sydney and New York City. All styles are extensively wear tested on the road, in the studio, and everywhere in-between to ensure world-class fit and functionality. The FIT:MATCH digital platform will also feature a growing selection of 15 other direct to consumer brands who will not only benefit from this transformative technology, but also have access to a new experiential channel of distribution.

"We are always looking for ways to introduce new concepts and experiences to our shopping center communities, while also providing brands a platform to expand their business," said Patty Hirt, Director of Retail Development at Brookfield Properties, the landlord of Baybrook Mall. "Through our partnership with FIT:MATCH, we are able to do both. This is a natural collaboration and we look forward to bringing the FIT:MATCH service/experience to our Baybrook Mall"

This is just the beginning -- the team behind FIT:MATCH imagines a world where everyone shops with a Fitch credential, always from their own AI-matched assortment, never having to try on clothes, and no longer having to deal with fit-related returns.
