Kentaro Takagi Named President and CEO of Toshiba America Energy Systems Corporation

Mr. Kentaro Takagi has been named President and CEO of Toshiba America Energy Systems Corporation (TAES) effective December 1, 2019. Mr. Kenji Kano, who has served as President and CEO since December 1, 2017, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of TAES since June of 2019, will continue to serve as Chairman as he also transitions to a new role within Toshiba.

Mr. Takagi began his career with Toshiba in 1993, serving in various leadership roles within the Company, including most recently as Business Unit Head and Marketing & Business Development Executive for the Thermal Power Services Development/Global Marketing and Planning Division within Toshiba Energy Systems & Solutions Corporation. Mr. Takagi has also served as a member of the TAES Board of Directors since September 2017, and will remain a member in addition to his new role as President and CEO.

Mr. Takagi holds both a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Waseda University in Tokyo, Japan.
