On the other hand, nearly 30% of candidate therapies are designed to provide symptomatic relief only, while the rest claim to be capable of offering both the aforementioned therapeutic effects. Further, most pipeline products are being developed as monotherapies (~89%) and the rest are being evaluated in combination with other treatment options.
