WILMINGTON, Del., Feb. 25, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Chordant today announced that it has entered into an agreement with Bosch to use the oneTRANSPORT Data Marketplace as part of an ongoing initiative within Bosch to identify and develop new globally-applicable mobility services. Bosch will leverage the oneTRANSPORT Data Marketplace to share data across both Bosch's internal departments and with an ecosystem of businesses in Bosch's network of Connectory facilities located in Europe, The Americas and Asia.

"As one of Europe's largest manufacturing-oriented companies, Bosch is a global leader with a long history of innovation in transportation," said Mika Rasinkangas, president of Chordant. "Our particular focus on enabling utilization of data for mobility services puts us in an advantageous position to collaborate with Bosch. Bosch will use the oneTRANSPORT Data Marketplace to publish and selectively share real-time mobility data across different internal Bosch programs, improving cross-department collaboration, information exploitation and identification of relevant data-powered services. oneTRANSPORT Data Marketplace will also enable Bosch to consume real-time information from other public and private sector organizations who wish to share information with Bosch while retaining control and defining the terms of access to their data. Chordant will similarly enable innovation within Bosch's ecosystem of Connectory sites, enabling qualifying organizations to use oneTRANSPORT Data Marketplace to facilitate new services based on shared data.

"The name Connectory is a combination of the words 'connection' and 'factory,' two central elements of our vision for the future," said Dennis Boecker, Global Head of IoT Innovation for Bosch. "It is a space where connections happen - among devices, people and ecosystems - as the world evolves through a digital transformation. The Connectory becomes a physical space, designed to connect and co-create around the topic of IoT for startups, universities or other corporations. Chordant is helping us put the power of data to use as we strive to leverage technology to help make the world's mobility solutions more useful and efficient."
