Arcimoto And Nonprofit Carry It Forward Launch First Deliverator Pilot Program to Deliver Emergency Supplies To The Unhoused Community

Arcimoto, Inc.® (NASDAQ: FUV) and Carry It Forward, a nonprofit working to support the unhoused community in the Eugene-Springfield area, are teaming up on the first pilot program to field test the Deliverator, an ultra-efficient, three-wheel electric vehicle designed for local and last-mile delivery. Beginning today, Carry It Forward will use the Deliverator to deliver critical emergency supplies to the unhoused communities in Eugene and Springfield in an attempt to help flatten the Coronavirus curve for the most vulnerable in the community.

“We face a pandemic, now felt in every community around the globe, and it is incumbent on us all to work together within our own communities to slow the spread of COVID-19. Arcimoto is proud to team with Carry It Forward to help play our part,” said Mark Frohnmayer, Arcimoto Founder and CEO. “We completed our first pilot Deliverator vehicle just as the Coronavirus crisis exploded. Right before our planned launch, Carry It Forward reached out to Arcimoto to see if we could help in any way to expand their delivery capacity for emergency supplies to the unhoused. I can’t think of a more important mission, nor a better way to begin testing the Deliverator in the field, than helping Carry It Forward to serve the most vulnerable members of our community.”

“As the Coronavirus crisis escalates, the unhoused communities around the world are in urgent need of emergency supplies, supplies that need to be delivered to them directly,” said Arwen Maas-Despain, Founder of Carry It Forward. “We are incredibly grateful to use the first Deliverator pilot vehicle for this mission that we so believe in, as we all join together in the Eugene community to flatten the curve for our most vulnerable neighbors, and to do so without burning an ounce of carbon.”

Built on the modular Arcimoto Platform, the ultra-efficient Deliverator features a top speed of 75 mph, 100 city mile range, a spacious cargo compartment, and is more efficient by an order of magnitude than traditional diesel-powered delivery vans and trucks. Deliverator production is expected to begin in late 2020.

The Deliverator is the third vehicle built on the ultra-efficient Arcimoto Platform, following the Fun Utility Vehicle, designed for everyday drivers, and the Rapid Responder EMS vehicle, developed to sustainably serve emergency, security and law enforcement needs.
