**MEDIA ADVISORY** Up for Debate: College Presidents and Disease Experts Tackle the Risks of Reopening Campus in Fall 2020

COVID-19 has upended the world of higher education, with institutions moving quickly to send students home, switch to online instruction, and suspend their on-campus operations. After more than 100,000 deaths and new spikes in community spread of the virus, there are still many unanswered questions around whether and how institutions will be able to re-open for the Fall 2020 semester. Will classes be in-person, remote, or some hybrid of the two? What precautions will be necessary to maintain a safe environment?

College leaders are sharply split on whether or not to bring students back to campus or to simply plan for another online semester. A recent survey found two-thirds of colleges and universities indicating that they were still planning to reopen this fall. Join this panel of college presidents, researchers, and experts who will take questions and discuss the pros and cons of reopening college campuses this fall--and the delicate balancing act that colleges face as they plan ahead.
