Shouvik Paul Joins Copyleaks as Company's First Chief Revenue Officer

STAMFORD, Conn., June 11, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Copyleaks, a leading AI-powered plagiarism detection platform, today announced that Shouvik Paul has joined the company as their first Chief Revenue Officer. Paul will lead the company's growth and expansion into vital new markets.

Paul brings more than 20 years of experience in media and education technology to Copyleaks. In the past eight years as the CRO at MAZ, a mobile and OTT platform, he grew revenue exponentially and developed MAZ into a central platform used by hundreds of media companies across the globe.

At Copyleaks, Paul will oversee business and sales operations with the goal of growing overall revenue and the Copyleaks team. In addition to continuing the fast growth the company has experienced in the educational vertical, he will also be focused on expanding into the media and software markets.

"Shouvik is an outstanding addition to the team," said Coplyeaks CEO, Alon Yamin. "He brings to our company a wealth of knowledge and more than 20 years of experience in the media and technology industries. We are very excited to have him on board."

Plagiarism detection has become a necessary tool for institutions committed to protecting the integrity of their original content. As education rapidly transitions from physical classrooms to digital spaces, there is an increasing need to establish strong anti-plagiarism standards. Copyleaks is uniquely positioned to meet this opportunity. Integrating technology into new and existing learning management systems allow both students and educators to easily check work for originality, while meeting the broader need in the media space to prevent theft of ideas.

"Plagiarism is on the rise these days. Many media companies either choose to ignore it or aren't equipped to track and control intellectual property, often resulting in revenue loss as third party sites pirate and monetize original content. Plagiarism also opens up liability exposure in the event that contributing writers publish plagiarized work under their banner. With Copyleaks' technology, any online publisher can protect their value and themselves from these unnecessary risks," says Paul.

With this strategic hire, Copyleaks is expanding beyond the education world into critical new frontiers. Funded by Connecticut Innovations, Copyleaks also continues to expand its product suite including Codeleaks, which detects if source code has been plagiarized, and AI Grading, software that enables educational institutions to automatically and accurately grade essays and other open-ended written assignments using artificial intelligence.
