Military Aviation Museum's Warbirds Over the Beach 2020 has been Cancelled

VIRGINIA BEACH, Va., Aug. 26, 2020 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ -- Based on a careful assessment of where we stand with the COVID-19 pandemic, the Museum Board has now undertaken the difficult decision to cancel 2020's Warbirds Over the Beach. This event traditionally features the flight of many of the museum's World War II aircraft in a 1940s atmosphere, paired with entertainers, living history encampments, and a militaria market. Biplanes and Brews combined the aircraft of World War One with a weekend of live music, flying demonstrations and craft beer.

The museum is looking forward to returning with exciting air shows and programs in 2021, and we hope you are, too! In the meantime, however, The Military Aviation Museum will be issuing refunds for Warbirds Over the Beach 2020 tickets. Please review the options below:

This cancellation means that none of our major, scheduled, 2020 events have been able to take place as intended, and this has had a considerable financial impact on the Museum. When taken alongside the extended mandatory closure of the Museum and ongoing attendance and activity restrictions, the Museum is facing considerable revenue shortfalls. You can help today by contributing the cost of your Warbirds Over the Beach tickets as a donation. To do this, please email director@aviationmuseum.us or call 757-721-7767 and indicate how you originally purchased your tickets and that you would like to donate the funds associated with them.

Please bear with us, as we are expecting the volume of requests to be high. Please also note that for tickets purchased more than 90 days ago, refunds will be issued by check.

Are there still opportunities to see the airplanes fly?

Still looking forward to seeing our amazing collection of historic aircraft in flight? Even though we have not yet finalized our 2021 schedule, there are still opportunities to see the airplanes in flight this year. While we have not been able to hold Air Show style events, we are still flying the airplanes every Saturday as part of Summer of Flight which features narrated flying demonstrations, weather permitting. Summer of Flight is included in the cost of a Museum admission, which means it is free to our Members. Find your favorite aircraft on our online schedule! https://militaryaviationmuseum.org/events_calendar/summer-of-flight/

How do I receive a refund for my Vendor Fee?
