Supplyframe Expands Executive Insights Virtual Roundtable Series

Supplyframe today announced additional sessions of its Executive Insights series, its popular series of virtual roundtable events that brings together executive leaders, experts, partners, and professionals to discuss the most important topics facing global electronics today. This interactive series caters to sourcing, procurement, and sales and marketing professionals at distributors, electronic manufacturing services (EMS) organizations, manufacturers, and suppliers.

The Executive Insights series this year will include sessions on:

  • The Digital Transformation of Customer Engagement in Global Electronics (February)
  • Design-to-Source Intelligence for Industrial Equipment Manufacturers (March)
  • Modern Sourcing: Procurement Digitalization and Advanced Analytics (April)

The series kicked off in late 2020, with its first installment, “Lessons in Innovation: Digital Transformation During COVID-19.” The session focused on issues of risk and resilience in the context of changes brought about by COVID-19, and featured Resilinc CEO Bindiya Vakil and Vichara Partners Co-Founder and Senior Partner Sanjay Baliga in conversation with Supplyframe CMO Richard Barnett. This roundtable provided a platform for some of the industry’s foremost authorities on supply chain risk and organizational change to reveal common blind spots and put forth new ideas to enable the supply chain ecosystem to forge a new path forward.

In its second installment, the series explored the role of “Women in Supply Chain,” where Jennifer Jacques, vice president of global supply chain digital transformation at Schneider Electric, and Sarah Rich, vice president of customer success and operations at Supplyframe (and winner of the Supply Demand Chain Executive “Women in Supply Chain” award for 2020), discussed lessons in leadership with DesignLab’s Head of Design and Partnerships Majenta Strongheart, with an emphasis on how to increase gender diversity in a largely underrepresented industry.

In its third installment, “2021 Outlook for the Global Electronics Value Chain” co-sponsored by Jabil, a leading global manufacturer of electronics, the Supplyframe Executive Insights series brought together experts Joe McBeth, vice president of global supply chain at Jabil; David Paulson, global vice president at Avnet; and Douglas Kent, managing partner at CHAINovation; for a discussion of emerging patterns in the global electronics value chain through the lens of manufacturers and distributors. Moderated by Barnett, the panel also examined highlights from Jabil’s Q1 2021 Procurement Intelligence Report and demand insights from Supplyframe’s global Design-to-Source Intelligence network.

The next event currently in production focuses on “The Digital Transformation of Customer Engagement in Global Electronics," and is scheduled for broadcast on Feb. 25, 2021, at 10 a.m PT. The session will explore how the shifts to digital customer engagement, virtual sales teams, new forms of sales intelligence, and self-service commerce are changing the way distributors and component suppliers influence demand and drive growth across their target market segments. The panel will include Michael Knight, president of TTI, a specialized producer of electronic components; Christine McDermott, global marketing vice president of Molex, a global manufacturer of electronic, electrical, and fiber optic connectivity systems; and Wendy Covey, CEO of Trew Marketing, a leading technical content marketing consultancy; and will be moderated by Barnett.

“The electronics supply chain ecosystem contains a wealth of experience and expertise, but the environment in which it exists continues to change,” said Steve Flagg, Supplyframe CEO and founder. “Together, we can capture emerging insights into our current market environment and its impacts on the electronics value chain. Now is also the perfect opportunity to rebuild and reimagine what’s possible throughout the new product introduction journey – from the spark of a new product idea to its creation and delivery – to enable greater innovation and profit potential, lower risk, and a more resilient supply chain.”
