Kinzie Capital Partners-Backed Colony Display Acquires Braeside Displays

Colony Display LLC (“Colony”), an Elgin-based designer, manufacturer and installer of highly customized fixtures, exhibits and displays, today announced the acquisition of Braeside Displays (“Braeside”), a leading independent point-of-purchase display manufacturer. The transaction was completed in partnership with Braeside’s management.

Founded in 1975 and based in Antioch, IL, Braeside specializes in the design, engineering and manufacturing of stock and custom point-of-purchase displays. Braeside brings expertise in plastics to Colony’s capabilities in wood and metal display manufacturing in servicing the home improvement and retail industries. Over the years, Braeside has built a strong, cross-functional team of creative design, engineering and manufacturing personnel that is led by Braeside’s President and CEO Nathan Kelly. Mr. Kelly will join Colony as Senior Vice President of Customer Strategy and Development.

The deal was financed by funds and accounts managed by BlackRock. Mesirow Financial, Inc. served as the exclusive financial advisor to Braeside. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
