“These experienced and dedicated team members will bolster Nexus Circular’s impact as the leader in advanced recycling and position the company for growth in the year ahead and beyond,” said Jeff Gold, founder of Nexus Circular.

Eric Hartz, president and co-founder added, “We are proud to have diverted 5 million pounds of used plastic from landfills since our founding. By expanding our leadership team, we are ideally positioned to help our clients meet their sustainability goals.”

Jodie Morgan, a leader with over 30 years of experience in manufacturing and 15 years in the clean technology industry, has been named Chief Executive Officer of Nexus Circular. Morgan most recently served as CEO for an early-stage advanced recycling company that converts waste plastics to specialty waxes, and prior to that, as president of a private-equity-backed company

that produces specialty chemicals from renewable sources.

“Having spent my career in manufacturing and a significant portion in ESG-focused businesses, I am very excited to join a leader in advanced recycling, to work with a great team, and to deliver a solution that truly tackles the plastics challenge,” said Morgan.

Robert Shaw has been named Chief Financial Officer, bringing over 25 years of global experience with private equity and public companies in the oilfield services, engineering, and manufacturing sectors. In his career, Robert has raised over $3 billion in equity and $6 billion in debt in private and international public markets, having led an IPO and successful exit for a private-equity-backed manufacturing company.

Clint Thompson has been named Chief Commercial Officer, adding over 30 years of deep domain experience in the environmental and energy sectors. He has managed up to 100 sites and up to $200 million in investment for the clean water, biomass, solar, geothermal, and agricultural sectors.

In addition, other new leadership team members include Steve Adams, Director of Engineering, and Joe Huff, Director of Operations. Both Steve and Joe bring a wealth of industry experience and will help to ensure Nexus Circular’s fully commercial technology continues to meet the growing needs of its customers as the demand for recycled content grows.

Through its end-to-end solution, Nexus Circular works with recycling organizations and plastics manufacturers to divert hard-to-recycle plastics bound for landfills and instead converts these used plastics – consistently, at commercial scale – into clean, high-quality, circular materials for companies which then create renewable virgin-quality plastics. Nexus is on a trajectory to convert 4 billion pounds of hard-to-recycle plastics into the highest quality circular materials by 2030 to support its partners’ sustainability commitments.
