Rolls-Royce, has had a presence in Brazil for over 50 years and in that time; we have invested in technology and on cutting-edge facilities. Civil aerospace and offshore activities in the oil and gas sectors are growing markets for Rolls-Royce in Brazil.

Aerospace

Rolls-Royce powers aircraft and provides services for TAM, Avianca and Azul and each airline will update its fleet with the A350, powered by the Trent XWB. We’ve worked with the aircraft manufacturer Embraer for a number of years, and we have been named its Supplier of the Year five times.

We power a number of aircrafts in the Brazilian Air Force, such as the freighter Hercules C130, the AMX fighter and the Xavante training aircrafts. The V2500 engine, which Rolls-Royce helped develop, boosts the KC-390, a military plane, manufactured by Embraer.

The Brazilian Navy operates a fleet of helicopters that includes the Navy Lynx model, equipped with Rolls-Royce’s Gem engine; and the Bell and Eurocopter, with the 250 Model.

Land & Sea

More than a hundred vessels with Rolls-Royce equipment operate today in Brazil. We assemble and test large thrusters and other propulsion equipment at our marine facility in Duque de Caxias. Our first marine training centre in South America is in Niterói, Rio de Janeiro. With state-of-the-art simulators, the centre has the capacity to train up to 750 people per year. We also have a marine workshop in Niterói.
