GYRO SENSORS

A range of small and robust precision gyros with SPI communication is offered.

The ButterflyGyro TM design guarantees unbeaten performance for demanding environments and in particular for vibration exposed applications.

Medium performance

The SAR10, used for years in automotive airbag systems, and the optimized version SAR10Z, is the choice when other MEMS gyros are insufficient.

SAR10 is a fully calibrated and compensated digital angular rate sensor with SPI interface in a robust miniaturized surface mountable SOIC-package. Functions like temperature sensor and diagnostics are included. Digital high-pass and low-pass filters are included. The high-pass filter blocks the bias (zero-point) signal and makes the device non-sensitive for bias drift effects.

High performance

The SAR100 and SAR150 take the performance even further. In many cases these sensors close the gap between low grade FOG's and traditional MEMS gyros and enables solutions not affordable up to now. Both SAR100 and SAR150 accommodate for horizontal and vertical mounting using a unique package solution.

SAR100 is a fully calibrated and compensated digital gyro sensor with SPI interface housed in a rigid custom ceramic LCC-package to accommodate for either horizontal or vertical mounting. Functions like temperature sensor and diagnostics are included. Digital low-pass filter is included.

GYRO MODULES

STIM202, is a cluster of 1, 2 or 3 ultra high accuracy gyros in a miniature package with RS422 interface. The cluster function is based on an integrated 32-bit microcontroller that provides flexibility in the configuration, like choice of output unit, sampling frequency, LP filter -3dB frequency and RS422 bit-rate and protocol parameters. Electronically calibrated axis alignment is standard. For advanced users a Service Mode provides the choice of intermediately or permanently changing all configuration parameters.

Features like electronic ID and advanced diagnostics with utility data like temperature measurement and supply voltage measurement are available. Any combination of axes can be provided.

PRESSURE SENSORS

A range of small and robust absolute pressure sensors are offered. The whole product range utilizes Sensonor's anodic wafer bonding technology with electrical crossings buried under an epitaxial layer. This guarantees unbeaten performance for demanding applications requiring high life time stability and good media compatibility. Less than 0.1ppm failure rate for several 100 million sensors shipped for automotive applications is the proof.

Pressure dies
The SW400-series is bare dies for absolute pressure sensing offered as dies in tray packs, as single wafers or wafer lots. The SW-400-series is ideal as a building block for the OEM customer. On-chip accelerometer is optionally available.

Uncompensated
The SP50-series is uncompensated absolute pressure sensors in a robust miniaturized surface mountable SOIC-package. The SW-400-series is ideal as a building block for the OEM customer for simple mechanical and electrical interfacing. On-chip accelerometer is optionally available.

Digital compensated
The SP100-series is fully calibrated and compensated digital absolute pressure sensors with SPI interface. Sophisticated features like electronic ID, temperature measurement, supply voltage measurement, diagnostics and optional on-chip accelerometer are available. The SP100-series is easily integrated into whatever microcontroller based environment.

Embedded microcontroller
The SP300-series is fully calibrated and compensated digital absolute pressure sensors with a programmable, embedded RISC microcontroller. Flexible and customer specified communication is via 5 general purpose I/O pins and a 2 channel LF receiver. Sophisticated features like electronic ID, temperature measurement, supply voltage measurement, diagnostics and optional on-chip accelerometer are available. A set of ROM library functions simplifies code development.

THERMAL IMAGING

Sensonor will offer non-cooled and TEC (Thermo-Electric-Cooler) less bolometer focal plane arrays (FPA's) for High Precision applications. The solution is based on a unique Si/SiGe mono-crystalline quantum well structure used as the temperature-sensing (thermistor) membrane of the pixels. The TCR (temperature coefficient of resistance) of this material surpasses today's available technologies and at the same time the mono-crystalline grain boundary free material secures superior 1/f noise performance. This novel pixel technology is coupled with Sensonor's wafer bonding experience to offer the combination of the best signal-noise ratio and the best reliability at the lowest cost.

Sensonor has a close cooperation with Acreo to optimize the bolometer technology and both parties are as well involved in common EU funded programs aiming to bring this innovative solution into industry.
