Solicitation 1204H118Q7032, Potable Water Truck / Gray Water Truck / Trailer Mounted Handwash for the USDA Forest Service in the Pacific Northwest Region 6 is amended as follows: The following language has been updated to read as follows: D.2.1.2.1 POTABLE WATER (2) Clearly and conspicuously labeled with the words "POTABLE" or "FOR DRINKING WATER USE ONLY" on both sides of the tank in lettering at least 4 inches in height. The capacity of the tank (in gallons) displayed on both sides of the tank or on both cab doors in lettering at least 2 inches in height. Name, city, and state of Contractor shall appear on both sides of the tank or on both truck cab doors in lettering at least 2 inches in height. Handwashing stations are NOT required to list Contractor Name, City and State on both sides of the take or both truck cab doors in lettering at least 2 inches in height. If required by the State or local health authority a seal or sticker provided by the issuing agency shall be affixed to the upper left quarter of the rear of the tank or other location if specified by the issuing agency and shall be visible at all times indicating that the tank has been inspected, certified and found to be in compliance with State or local health authority requirements. If inspection and certification of the tank is required by the State or local health authority but stickers are not provided, a copy of the certification shall be kept in the transport vehicle at all times. In addition, the carrier shall meet all laws and regulations for hauling on public roads. If the State does not do certification, then the hiring agency will be responsible for inspecting and ensuring the tank meets the following requirements. The following language has been deleted from the agreement in its entirety. D.2.2.1.1 -- Spare Tire. All vehicles shall have a full size wheel mounted spare tire with minimum of 4/32 tread. The spare tire shall be easily accessible. The following language in paragraph one has been updated to read as follows: D.16 PRE-SEASON INSPECTIONS. Resources under this solicitation, and resultant agreement, are required to pass a pre-award inspection prior to award. Inspections must be completed by an approved MOU Equipment Inspection provider before MAY 1, 2018 in order to be placed on a Dispatch Priority List (DPL) for the 2018 fire season. A mechanical inspection (OF 296) will also be completed during the preaward inspection process, however, the OF 296 is for informational purposes only. Items on the OF 296 needing repaired or replaced is the vendors responsibility and shall be repaired or replaced prior to accepting a dispatch. Exception handwashing station (trailer mounted) are not subject to a mechanical inspection (OF 296) inspection. Vendors are responsible to contact an MOU Equipment Inspection Provider to schedule an inspection and pay for the costs of the services performed. Vendors should provide manufacturers documentation to support equipment specifications, if necessary. See link below for a list of approved MOU Equipment Inspection Providers.
