The Environment Agency is seeking to appoint a high quality, proactive supplier for all its aircraft, pilot and ancillary services requirements.

We seek an innovative aircraft partner able to provide 2 suitably modified aircraft and all support requirements on a 24/7 basis to support our survey and incident management needs.

We need an experienced operator of survey or similar aircraft, able to plan, resource and operate aircraft to deliver a challenging programme of survey and incident response.

The survey we perform involves risk at many levels and we seek a partner able to foresee, mitigate and share in that risk. Our survey is best in class for operational remote sensing and we seek an aircraft partner who aspires to similar levels of performance.

Hire of aircraft with crew

This contract is for the provision of 2 survey aircraft and associated pilots and services to facilitate the Environment Agency remote sensing survey program through the next 5 years. The primary tasks of the required survey aircraft are terrestrial and intertidal mapping to be carried out between 1 000 and 10 000 feet throughout the UK. Aircraft are required to have an endurance of at least 5 hours although a longer endurance would be welcome. Normal operational speed is approximately 130 knots however we also require aircraft delivering fast transits will give us the greatest flexibility especially during any incident response tasks relating to flooding. Aircraft are required to have twin engines for safety reasons. Aircraft must be able to mount a variety of remote sensing equipment.
